By using VenueNova you agree to these terms. If you are claiming or managing a venue listing, you additionally confirm you are authorised to act for that venue.

1. What VenueNova is

A free directory of event venues in Malaysia. We help you find and compare venues and send enquiries; we link out to each venue's own website. We are not a booking agent and not a party to any hire, and we charge users nothing to search or enquire.

2. Listing data — how it is compiled, and its limits

a. Compiled from public sources. Unless a listing is marked as claimed or venue-confirmed, its information has been compiled from publicly available sources — chiefly the venue's own website — and is unverified until the venue claims or confirms it. Every listing shows a status badge (Unverified / Verified / Confirmed by venue) and a last-updated date, and every data point carries an internal record of its source and date.

b. No warranty of accuracy. Venue details — capacity, pricing, availability, halal certification, facilities — change at the venue's discretion and can be out of date. Information on VenueNova is provided "as is" and "as available", for general reference only. Always confirm directly with the venue before committing money or dates. AI-generated venue recommendations are suggestions drawn from the same listing data and carry the same limits.

c. Corrections. Anyone may report an error via the "Suggest an edit" link on each listing. Venues may correct their own listing at any time by claiming it.

3. Photos, content and takedown — our 48-hour commitment

a. Pre-claim listings may display a small number of photographs sourced from the venue's own website, each carrying a visible credit and a link back to the venue's site. We never alter, watermark or rebrand a venue's photographs, and we never present the venue's marketing copy as our own — listing descriptions are written by us.

b. Takedown. If you are a venue (or a rights holder) and want any photo, data point or an entire listing corrected or removed, use the "Request removal" link on the listing or email hello@venuenova.com. We will action legitimate removal requests within 48 hours, no argument, and record a permanent opt-out so the content is not re-compiled.

4. Claiming your listing

Claiming is free. We verify that you control the venue (via an email address at the venue's own domain, or a phone check against the venue's published number). On claiming: (a) you may edit your listing and upload photos and content; (b) you grant VenueNova a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the directory and in listing previews for as long as the listing is live; (c) you confirm the content is accurate and that you hold the rights to it; (d) your listing badge changes to "Confirmed by venue". You may delist at any time by written request (48-hour commitment applies).

5. Enquiries

Enquiries you submit are passed to the venue(s) you select, who respond to you directly. We are not responsible for whether or how a venue responds, and any resulting contract is strictly between you and the venue. Enquiry contact details are handled per our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You must not: scrape or bulk-extract the directory; submit false listings, reviews or claims; misrepresent authority to act for a venue; use the enquiry system for spam or marketing; or interfere with the service's operation. We may suspend access and remove content that breaches these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The directory's structure, software, original text and compilation are ours [OPERATING ENTITY]. Venue names, marks and photographs belong to their respective owners; credited photos remain the venue's property. Nothing in these terms transfers anyone's IP to anyone else.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law: we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on listing information, from venue conduct, or from service interruptions; and our total aggregate liability to any user is capped at RM100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is higher (VenueNova is currently free, so RM100). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where it applies.

9. Privacy

Personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy (published in English and Bahasa Malaysia), which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use after an update is acceptance. Material changes will be flagged on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and the courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction.
